據世界動物衛生組織（OIE）消息，1月29日挪威食品安全局向OIE緊急報告稱，1月16日該國北特倫德拉格郡的一家農場發生牛海綿狀腦病（瘋牛病）。
本次疫情屬亞臨床感染，病原是H型非典型牛海綿狀腦病致病因子。
本次疫情涉及的動物有27頭牛，其中1頭發病，處理1頭。診斷性質為實驗室檢驗。目前感染來源尚不清楚。這是挪威首次發生牛海綿狀腦病。
