據美國聯邦公報消息，4月18日美國環保署發布終期條例，臨時豁免蘇云金芽孢桿菌（Bacillus Thuringiensis，mCry51Aa2）蛋白在棉花中的殘留限量。截止日期為2019年2月28日。
孟山都公司發起本次限量豁免申請。相關的棉花商品包括：棉花食品與飼料、棉毛籽、軋棉副產品、棉花飼料、棉花干草等。
