§ 73.165 Ferrous lactate.
（a） Identity. The color additive ferrous lactate is the ferrous lactate defined in §184.1311 of this chapter.
（b） Specifications. Ferrous lactate shall meet the specifications given in the Food Chemicals Codex, 4th ed. （1996）, pp. 154 to 155, which is incorporated by reference in accordance with 5 U.S.C. 552（a） and 1 CFR part 51. Copies are available from the National Academy Press, 2101 Constitution Ave. NW., Washington, DC 20418, or may be examined at the Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition's Library, 5100 Paint Branch Pkwy., College Park, MD, or at the National Archives and Records Administration （NARA）. （c） Uses and restrictions. Ferrous lactate may be safely used in amounts consistent with good manufacturing practice for the coloring of ripe olives.
（d） Labeling. The label of the color additive shall conform to the requirements of §70.25 of this chapter.
（e） Exemption from certification. Certification of this color additive is not necessary for the protection of the public health, and therefore batches thereof are exempt from the certification requirements of section 721（c） of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act （the act）.

§73.165 乳酸亞鐵
（a）性狀：著色劑乳酸亞鐵，即為本章§184.1311中所指的乳酸亞鐵。
（b）質(zhì)量規(guī)格：乳酸亞鐵應(yīng)符合第四版（1996）《食品化學(xué)品法典》P.154～155中所規(guī)定的質(zhì)量指標(biāo)。該指標(biāo)可從［E、O、B］處獲得。
（c）使用和限制條件：乳酸亞鐵在符合現(xiàn)行GMP用量條件下，可安全地用于成熟油橄欖的著色。
（d）標(biāo)簽標(biāo)注方式：本著色劑的標(biāo)簽，應(yīng)符合本章§70.25中的要求。
（e）免除產(chǎn)品證書(shū)：本著色劑免除產(chǎn)品證書(shū)以保護(hù)公眾健康。所生產(chǎn)的每批產(chǎn)品也免除按聯(lián)邦食品、藥物和化妝品法法規(guī)721（c）中所規(guī)定的需要產(chǎn)品證書(shū)。
