據外媒報道，在本屆悉尼國際葡萄酒大賽（SIWC）上，阿爾迪超市（Aldi）5澳元1瓶的2015南點（South Point）粉紅葡萄酒獲得冠軍，大賽評出最好的葡萄酒是法國2005逸蘭金標香檳葡萄酒（Lanson Gold Label Brut Vintage），售價約為58澳元一瓶。
跟大多數葡萄酒比賽不同，悉尼國際葡萄酒比賽入圍者根據消費者體驗做出評定。
據報道，這次比賽中有代表100個葡萄品種的1812瓶酒參賽，只有269瓶葡萄酒得獎。
比賽評出的最成功的酒廠是新西蘭的Yealands葡萄酒集團（Yealands Wine Group），有七種價格不到15澳元的葡萄酒贏得了獎牌。

The Aldi 2015 South Point rose was among six winners in the rose section, and was also awarded a coveted Blue Gold medal, the equivalent of silver.
Aldi also scored goals with its $12.99 Tudor shiraz, which took out the trophy for Best Lighter Bodied Dry Red, and a Blackstone Paddock “The Player” Barossa shiraz for $14.99.
