New tentative specifications prepared at the 74th JECFA (2011) and published in FAO Monographs 11 (2011). A PTWI of 2 mg/kg bw for
aluminium was established at the 74th JECFA (2011). An ADI ‘not limited’ was established for titanium dioxide at the 13th JECFA (1969) and an ADI of 0-0.5 mg/kg bw was established for iron oxides at the 53rd JECFA (1999).
